Why is my video choppy in Adobe Premiere Pro?

Which video editing software: Sony Vegas Pro 8 or Adobe Premiere Pro CS4?

  • I'm looking for a video editing software that is: _user-friendly (not too complicated; user can easily adapt) _has many editing features (ideally, more advanced than Windows Movie Maker) _can edit videos to a quality like jennyproductions' AMVs (I admire her works) _can insert subtitles of the same quality that is used in subbing anime series _takes less space in my computer drive (as much as possible) Obviously I'm an amateur.. But I can say I'm quite skilled already in editing videos through WMM. But I'm looking for more... More awesome video effects... I have already let my parents buy me a videocam after so much sacrifice... (-_-') I don't want to waste it at all... Please help me decide which software to get. As much as possible, please feature the advantages and disadvantages of both software... Why I should take the one you're suggesting over the other... As much as possible, based it on your own usage experience.... Thank you! (^_^;)

    If you want to make anime videos, then you may want to buy some animation software such as Anime Studio Debut or even a 3D animation program such as Animation Master. You could budget for both the animation and video editing software by buying the less expensive Premiere Elements or Vegas Movie Studio programs. Anime Debut is around forty dollars and Vegas Studio or Premiere Elements are around eighty dollars. Vegas Pro 8 and Premiere CS4 cost around seven hundred dollars and neither is useful for character animation. You can download free evaluation versions from each program's web site to determine which one you prefer, but I would start with the less expensive editing software and buy the animation software as well.

Adobe and Final Cut Studio Pro are both the industry standard, by which all others are judged. They are both professional software and not for thje faint of heart. Either will do anything you want to do.
