My disk defragmenter won't open. What can I open it?

Can I restart Windows 7 after Disk Defragmenter is finished?

  • I want to know if there is a setting on Windows or if there was a way to tell the computer to restart after Disk Defragmenter gets finished so that way I don't have to worry about it once it gets done.

  • Answer:

I dont like both the Vista and Windows 7 defragger as much as Diskeeper, which is really automatic and extremely user friendly.

Yes you can, but you don't have to reboot after a disk defrag because the Win 7 defragger cannot do boot-time defrags anyway (AFAIK). For unning boot-time defrag, you need to get a powerful defragger like Diskeeper 2009. It's way faster than the slow Windows defragger (any flavor), has a proper GUI, and works perfectly in automatic defrag mode i.e. install and forget. never have to worry about defrag again.

Restart it manually after it's done defraging..

i think yes
