How to convert a video clip for youtube?

Unable to convert video clip to gif format??????????

  • using xilisoft video converter i created a clip of length 4sec. from a song of some 4+ min. this converter also has an option to convert to gif format.so,i selected the clip and converted it to gif file,but an image file with blurred colors is being formed.i also have avs video converter but when i click on the 'open project' and select the video clip an error is being displayed with message quoting as 'can't load project.it can be missing or corrupted'. help me i want to convert the clip to gif format with motion.

Well, first of all, 4 minutes is wayyyy too long for a gif, and would take forever to load. Also, keep in mind that gifs are soundless. The reason why it is blurred is most likely because of your conversion and compression settings. Go to the options menu and change the settings to high quality, but not too high as the file will be very large.

Please specify what format your clip is in. When you try to open a new project, check if you have an option to select the file type and select the one your file is in.(File type selectionin the open dialogue box below file name.)
