How do you disable AVG Antivirus?

Disable update for any of windows programs?

  • my windows get updated any time for any programs such as updating antivirus or any other software programmes iit affect my pc performance speed so please suggest me the trick or solution for the problem i just want get rid of those automatci updates of any programmes such as adobe or any other programmes or avg anti virus for avg anti virus -- even if i make update disable it automatically starts the update huh ?

    1. go to computer properties 2. Click on Windows Update 3. Click on Change Setting 4. You must select NEVER CHECK UPDATES on Important Updates

there are settings for each program to disable updating. then you can update them manually. AVG's updates don't take much bandwidth or system power to do, and only happen a couple times a day. you can also SCHEDULE updates, so that they don't occur during regular usage. AVG has something called "Game Mode" where it does not bug you while it is active. to find the update settings for each program, either check the Options/Preferences/Settings for the program, or google it. all programs are slightly different, so there is no one-for-all answer, unfortunately. Windows' update settings are in the Control Panel.

It's not a good idea to delay installing updates, whenever anything gets a security update, hackers will instantly know which part of the software has a flaw. Anyway, most programs let you choose if updates are installed. The only other things you can do is to disable them from startup (use msconfig), or, set the firewall to block either the updater or main application.

1. Go To Control Panel 2. Open Administrative Tools 3. Open services. 4. Open "Automatic Updates" 5. Choose Disable in Startup Type. And if you want disable for other software plz specify the name of software.
