Windows live messenger wont download?

A few minutes ago i tried to download a meseenger skin, and when i deleted the skin file, it also deleted one of the messenger files and windows live messenger wouldnt work, so i deleted the entire file and tried to download windows live messenger again but it says i already have it and i cant seem to get it to download...

never delete a program either uninstall or remove it from control panel > add or remove programs.. EDIT ok try looking in C: program files > windows live start up > all programs Control Panel> add or remove > or programs and features in another view
