When I run an application from the taskbar in Windows 7 it duplicates the icon?

When I run an application from the taskbar in Windows 7 it duplicates the icon. The new icon goes away when I close the program, so it's only temporary, but it is still very frustrating. How do I fix this? It doesn't happen with all of the programs in the taskbar. I took a snapshot of it (using Firefox as an example) and put it on Flickr, here's the URL so you can see it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikerodeman/6922261469/

Answer:
Right click on the taskbar and select properties. On the first tab (Taskbar) about halfway down, it says "Taskbar buttons:" Make sure it says "always combine, hide labels". Then click Apply.
