What format does a DVD player with a USB port play?

After burning DVD of file extension .avi in the .dat format DVD is not playing in DVD player plz help to play.?

  • I made a DVD that was files of .avi format, i've a DVD R/W, but at the burning process make a videoDVD option was available so that i choose a option to make a dataDVD. After made DVD my DVD was playing on my computer but not in the window media player but that was playing in "vlc" player, So at that time i thought this might work in my DVD player too........ I think your dvd files format is wrong, dvd format is .vob format. You can use other software burn your video files to dvd. It's free for download.
