What's a good profesional but easy to used music making software?

I like to write song lyrics. I don't really know why but I do. I don't play any instruments though. I want to try and create some music on my brand new core i7 laptop but I have no clue where to start. I don't know how to read or write music using notations and the like. I did however pick up a book on the subject. I want to find software that will allow me to create the type of sound I am looking for. Not looking for club kinda music but samples with real instruments like the guitar, piano, brass, and others. Though I don;t even know what kind of software that is. Any help?

Answer:
That would be music creation software I think. A good program for that is Sony Acid. It's only like 40 dollars or something. If you've ever used GarageBand on a Mac then you'll pretty much get how to use it straight away. Good luck
