Why isn't iTunes working with MSN?

My iTunes isnt working?!?

• Sorry a lil long, but details are important. =] The songs (itunes ones and limewire ones) were saved on a maxtor. at night id turn the maxtor off beacause it flashes and groans (not in a bad way, in a normal machine way) when its on. then the next morning i accidentally clicked on itunes before id turned the maxtor on. so it said that the songs could not be found. i simply turned the maxtor back on, but when itunes came up it obviously said that the songs cld not be found. instead of finding them all again by clicked "look for this song", i deleted them all and then added them all again. i wanted to put a couple of new songs on my ipod, but it was taking forever and ever and i needed to be somewhere. so i took the ipod off and then left. that night i went to start up itunes again, but now just a window pops up saying "The folder iTunes cannot be found and ius required. The default for this folder is in the My Music folder". Ive tried searching for that folder but it doesnt exist. Does anyone know wat happened, and how i can fix it? thanks.

  call support, you will have to restore your ipod.
