How to reduce movie resolution?

Help me, i'm desperate... how do i reduce the resolution of a movie file?

  • Unfortunately my computer hates me, and i hate it [Vista sucks]. I have 3 movie files i need for a school project and the computer won't open them in any way because they are too heavy [they were filmed in HD]. The original file is .mp4, it opens with quick time. But it's so big that i'm beginning to think it filmed in real-life size; and because of that my computer crashes every 5 seconds, and i don't know what to do i'm getting desperate. everything would be okay if i could reduce the image size but i'm not a technology expert and i have no idea on how to do that, neither IF i can do that. please help me. PLEASE.

Don't worry just download Total Video Converter (TVC) & convert it into 3GP or WMV with low quality. Note:- Above mention software is free for 15 days.

Handbrake is a free, open source program for Windows and Mac that will allow you to change the resolution on a movie and make it smaller. You can tell Handbrake how large (in megabytes) you would like to make the final movie and it will figure out the rest of the settings for you. It can also scale movies to make them smaller. Handbrake is widely accepted to be the defacto standard for this kind of home video formatting.
