How can you restore my yahoo before problems appear?

How do you fix a computer's startup after being interrupted during building a restore point?

  • I have an Acer Notepad equipped with windows 7, I have installed trend micro's "Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus" and it was during an update at the same time that the windows updater was going, and creating a restore point. So with that, the computer locked up, I rebooted, and now the computer is moving seriously slow and it doesn't appear it can access the restore point, the updates, and it's having trouble booting up now. It's showing massive problems with booting up, when it gives the option in the bios screen to start normally or start with repair function, the screen goes black and stays black if repair option has been selected. Windows update hasn't shown up at all when it actually boots up, when it does boot up, it's incredibly slow, and it's not showing any signs of the restore point, once clicking on the start button, the whole thing freezes, can't access any browsers or explorers, because it freezes every time it's selected. I tried to access the control panel, but that's an explorer window to get control panel, so that crashes. So I tried to restore factory defaults by the bios options, it doesn't appear to allow being restored to a restore point previously created, Windows 7 seems to be having critical errors, and I'm not sure how to fix this. I'm sure others have had their laptops die on them during a restore point creation, and I imagine since I'd seen many people post similar questions in forums, but with no answers, I figure I'll post it in a more popular site like yahoo, and maybe someone will come up with an effective answer to this problem. It can't be just "Deal with it" because I know that if it starts up, there's hope, because that means the hardware is working properly, and it's a software problem, and with the right tech support, it can be fixed. So anyone have a solution to this problem?
