Why am I having this problem with java or windows installer?

A couple days ago I tried to get on limewire and it poped up with a windoow saying "Limewire needs the Java Runtime Environment 5.0 or above. Click OK to go to www.java.com, where you can install Java." But the thing is I don't know why it poped up because I don't remember uninstalling java and I had no problem runing limewire before. So then I click OK and I go to the Java website and download the correct version. When I finish downloading java it says "prepairing to install" then It says after that window is gone "this software has already been installed on your computer. Would you like to reinstall it?" Then I click yes then another window pops up saying "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I went to add/remove programs and java insn't in it and I already deleated java out of program folder and all my documents and other files. So can someone please tell me what or how to fix this problem?

Limewire comes with Java as part of the program,and would not have shown up on your add/delete programs.If your Limewire no longer works because you have already deleted the files,you will have to re install Java.You can download Java from the free download site.The site is Free Java Download.The most recent version is version 6-update 11.I must warn you that update 11 is a space hog,and can cause some real problems.It is supposed to cancell all other versions and updates,but don't bet the farm on it.If you download it and it messes up your machine,uninstall it and do a system restore.The only thing that will show up on your add/delete programs is Java update 11.

it is an problem about your uninstalling please to uninstall again your java from your pc then install your newer java............ if you can't uninstalling your java from control panel you can uninstalling t manually
