How to make a patterned background on photoshop 7.0?

Okay, first of all, we can't see the patterns your talking about because the profiles are private. Now, really, unless you want to take hours creating a background, it's best just to find one online and then do the stuff with it. Mirroring, I can help with. You need 2 layers. On the first layer, post your photo wherever you want it to be. On the second layer, post the same photo directly on top of where you posted the first. Now, go to Image > Rotate > Flip vertical. Now move the upside down photo to the exact bottom of the first photo. Go to the opacity settings and adjust them to your liking to make it look like a reflection. This works best on a black background, with a slight gradient in the middle that looks like a platform on which the first photo is placed, so it doesn't look like it's floating on air. If you want the reflection to fade out, the easiest way is just to get a very large, soft edged eraser and wipe it across the very bottom of the reflection photo. This will give it a fade-out effect. The other things you want to do can't be done very well without a CS version of Photoshop, which is significantly more expensive. You will also need a full tutorial for those, more than I can give you here. As far as a glowing beam thing goes, I have never tried that, but I'd assume that you could do it by creating a black background, and draw a bright color over it with a brush (soft or solid) on another layer, and apply a motion blur (Filter > Blur > Motion Blur) at a distance of about 40 pixels.
