Does New Blue FX work in Adobe After effects CS3?

How would I create a cinematic look in adobe after effects?

  • I have a Sony HD SR-5, and am shooting a semi-professional film for purposes of practicing techniques. I am a novice at adobe after effects, and have played around with filters, effects, layers, and whatnot. I am looking to give my film that post-editorial cinematic look. Is there a good way of going about this through After Effects. (I have AE CS3) I have done my research, and a diffuse glow, or something similar would do the trick, but my work is sloppy, and I am asking for a short idea walk-through, or something similar. I thank you for your time! ~Jason

  • Answer:

There are several factors to consider to make it "film-look" For one you can shoot in 24 frames per second, because that's how films are shot. Then you can use presets like film magic pro, which can be found at www.videocopilot.net(Lot's of tutorials too.). You can also try Magic Bullet, I think it's from Red Giant ( i'm not sure, just search the internet). Hope this helps
