Answer:
Any spreadsheet application would be able to do this. If you have Excel loaded you can use that. If not then there are many spreadsheet aps available for free download including Open Office.

Excel.
1. Microsoft Excel (Not free) 2. Google Docs Spreadsheets (Free, docs.google.com) 3. OpenOffice (Free, openoffice.org) Just put in all of your data into a spread sheet and select what you want to sort, and then click "sort". It will prompt you to choose a column to sort by.
As everyone else has said your best bet would be to use a spreadsheet program. If you've already got the lists in a computer file then you can import the lists to the spreadsheet but don't forget you've always got the old DOS Sort command, even in Windows 7. Open a command prompt and type sort [file to be sorted] [output file for the sort] See http://www.computerhope.com/sorthlp.htm for full usage
Hi, Tommy! If you type your list as file names within a folder, even if all the files you make are just zero-byte name holders, windows will sort them and print them alphabetically for you. Just right click a blank area of the desktop, select "new" "folder, and click. Now, tap the <- backspace key to clear the name "new folder" and type in movies, and press enter. Now you have an empty folder you can use to store your "titles " in. Double click on the movies folder you just made to open it, and for every movie you have, right click a blank spot in this folder to select "new Wordpad document" from the menu that right clicking brings up. the wordpad program will open - my bad, just use notepad instead, much simpler...and even if you type nothing into the notepad file, or if you do, either way you can now choose to "save as" from the "file" options along the top left side of the page, and then type your movies title into the filename space. When you are done making empty, named files in your movie folder, right click again in a blank part of i9t's page, and choose ARRANGE BY.....(NAME). and you can do exactly the same thing for the names of your phone contacts, too, in another newly made blank folder you title "phone numbers" or some such. The files you make will take up next to no space at all, if they are empty...certainly NO MORE than the exact same name would in any other program's method, okay? It's inelegant and rather unrefined, but, hey ! IT works !!!
