Vista Problems ... Help!?

  • I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on an Acer L3600 Desktop Machine. It has 2GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Recently the computer is taking a very long to time to load before the login screen and after logging in. Programs such as Firefox & Safari are regularly crashing, sometimes Firefox won't open at all. The computer is also crashing and restarting. Below are two of the Blue Screen notifications I got. Any help would be most appreciated. I have virus protection and don't appear to have any malware. I have very few programs running at startup. have you run anti virus scan? what about a spyware or ad-aware scans? sounds like you either have a virus,some kind of spyware or you may have too many things working at once. dont forget that a laptop does not have as much space as a desktop. also,you say you have few things starting up at startup - what about the background programs? yes there may be programs that are starting up that wont appear on task manger.
