I cant download "Adobe flash player"?

yesterday, i found out my computer had virus. so i ran the anti-virus program and everything was clear. then i got on to youtube and tried to watch a video, but it wouldnt play. so i tried to download adobe flash player, but everytime i try to download, this message comes up "internet explorer cannot download this." PLEASE HELP!
