Where can I find a full audio system installation tutorial?

I get "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meet its criteria for installation" when trying to re-in?

I am trying to re-install the Windows Vista on my friends Acer Aspire 5770 lap top and keep running into problems. First it says I get "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meet its criteria for installation". Then there was another thing that asked me to install the CD with the drivers (which I don't have). I did not have this connected to the internet when I was working on it. Do you think I should? Can I download the drivers for it on line? I want to get this working for her.

Why are you re-installing? Could it be that the hard drive has failed or is failing? Does the BIOS show the hard drive as online? Does the Acer have a recovery partition? Try that first if it exists. Too many variables/possibilities so far, try to narrow down what the fault is, if possible...
