How to organize a backpack?

What are good alternatives (paid and free) to Backpack, a web application from 37 Signals?

• I'm tired of having to pay for Backpack when there are many features that I feel it is missing. I've looked at many wikis, because having lots of editable pages is more important to me than a calendar and reminders, but I haven't found anything. I currently use Remember The Milk Pro to organize my tasks and to dos. It is irreplaceable in my life and I'm very, very happy with what it does. The thing is, I need something to organize my thoughts and something to use as a collaborator with other people. So far, only backpack does this: it has pages, which allow me to post tasks/checkbox lists, text boxes, and media onto a single, shareable and easy-to-edit page. Pages are amazing because I can edit everything from the view mode, it's like WYSIWYG, but simpler. being able to have multiple notes and lists (which are separate from each other) on the same page is great. They can also be changed independently of each other! Notes (or writeboards) are the equivalent of a wiki page. These are very useful for collaborating with other people. You have a few forms of markup, but the end result is always plain text. No checkbox lists/tasks, no media, just plain old text. There's also a reminders page that you can set up "reminders" which will ring/beep you on your email or phone via text message. Additionally, there is an independent calendar. What I need, paid or free, is something that has the equivalent of pages and writeboards/notes. I don't care if they're separate entities or together, I just need something that I can easily make simple pages of lists with text in and between, and then the editable/shareable wiki-style notes pages. Ideally, you would know exactly what I need, but if you have anything that kind of fulfills one part but not the other, please post it anyway, maybe it's exactly what I'm looking for!
