Can I Jailbreak my iPhone on 3.1.2?

Can I Jailbreak my iphone 4s with OS 5.1 using Greenpois0n Absinthe 0.4 or it would not work?

• Hi there I have one of the newest iphone 4s cellphone with OS 5.0.1 at first it came out of the box with OS 5.0 and at that time there were not jailbreak for it so i went ahead and upgraded the OS to 5.0.1 over the air and now there is untethered jailbreak for the OS 5.0.1 using the Absinth greenpois0n but i did not jailbreak yet i waited for the absinth greenpois0n jailbreak to release the last stable revision of the jailbreak so i can jailbreak my 5.0.1 iphone 4s but then apple release the newest OS 5.1 so now i'm not sure if i should go ahead and upgrade or not as i don't know if the absinth greenpois0n jailbreak also works with the newest OS 5.1 . so what do you recomend me doing here should i go ahead and jailbreak my iphone 4s with current OS 5.0.1 using the absinth and then upgrade to OS 5.1 or not??? if i jailbreak my current 5.0.1 using the absinth greenpoi0n would i be able to upgrade after to 5.1 or the upgrade might fail? also i want to guarantee that the jailbreak process would not change my BASEBAND because i heard on the net that some jailbreak change the baseband and then the phone started to act very bad is that true? did anyone experience baseband change? looknig for your advise from the experts in here. cheer's Ali

  Ok too many question First. I would recommend updating it b/c I never and never jailbreak my iPhone but that doesn't mean I haven't done it, my iPod is jailbroken and it works fine. Except for some occasions that it glitches out but that happens. Second. If you jailbreak your iPod, yea you can updated but remember to back it up or it will erase everything. Third. It depends were you download but I think it does b/c you can get calls and other stuff that are not for at&t and other sim cards.
