Do I need Windows Media Player?

I need a program to download videos off youtube that works with windows media player?

  • I was using download helper for firefox but then it stopped working for youtube and would only download files for flv player. i want to use windows media player to play the videos im trying to download. help???

I used to use VDownloader and it never gave me any problems but now i don't download youtube videos so i don't use it but it is a very good software

Just google Youtube Downloader. They all download the videos as .flac files I think, but they have a built in converter which you use to convert them to .mpeg4 or whatever.
