What's wrong with my iTunes, and how can I fix it?

My computer plays everything fine as far as sound. When I open my iTunes and play music it sounds as though my speakers blew out. Strange how it sounds great when I watch something like a trailer on iTunes & it sounds fine. Also, in the same computer, I go to my daughters account, and check out her iTunes to compare - hers sounds perfect. What's going on? How can I fix this? I tried going to Apple support - they have no category of the sort. I have a PC Please help, its irritating me...

Answer:
Try checking out the Equalizer under "View" and see if there's anything wrong in that. You should set it to flat and see if it helps. Usually when everything in there is maxed out it'll tend to cause a distortion
