How do You Install Patches?

I'm installing a game, how many patches will I have to install?

  • The game I just installed took a full day to download and when I finally thought it was ready to install, I have to install a number of patches? This is my fist time downloading a game, can someone help as to how many of these I have to wait on? and what are they??

Without knowing the game in question, your question cannot be answered. The patches are most likely updates. Unless if you downloaded the game illegally, in which case the game itself and the "patches" may all simply be viruses, which for example steal your usernames and passwords, your legal license keys, your personal information, et cetera.

Not knowing the game you are installing, i can't say how many there are. Patches are for bug fixes, improving the game, different content added, things like that.
