Microsoft word documents will not open from the internet or my email?

I am using an HP G60 laptop that is operating on windows 7. I recently installed Microsoft Office on my computer. Everything works fine and I can even open power-points from the internet but a word document will not open. I also cannot open any attachments from my email either. I am able to create a blank document on word but I just cannot open from the internet. I have tried re-installing the cd and that did nothing. HELP?

Start over and buy a new computer. There is NOTHING you can do
