Solution for file corruption while downloading?

while i am downloading a file using internet download manager or dap ... if the light goes out due to power failure the file corrupts after i complete it... it does not happen in torrents... is there a method to avoid this corruption??? file corruption while downloading happens only due to power failure.

i've been thinking... It will still be not corrupted in the dap client. and can be resumed.. I have come to the conclusion that the file u have been downloading is a Resume Unsupported file. Try downloading a resume supported file and halfway through flip the circuit breaker and i suppose that it can be resumable..=)
