How to change language in Ubuntu 10.04?

How do I change the operating system on my Red Fox Wizbook N1020i from Ubuntu to Windows?

  • I recently received a Red Fox Wizbook N1020i for Christmas, and when I started it up, turns out the operating system is Ubuntu, not Windows like I was expecting. I've been trying for hours now how to figure out how to work Ubuntu, but I'm getting tired of trying to find the applications I supposedly downloaded, and looking for ways to change the password for the keyring. Now I've decided that, just to make my life easier (seeing as it doesn't look like I'll be getting the hang of Ubuntu any time soon), to just change the OS to Windows 7. Since the Wizbook is a netbook, it doesn't have an optical drive. My brother said I could save Windows 7 onto a USB flashdisk using a different laptop and then use that to install Windows onto my netbook. Could anyone give me the steps to doing this procedure? Thanks! P.S. Please don't answer telling me that I just need to use my head with Ubuntu and that Windows will just make me lazy or brainless or something. I really want to use Windows. Thanks again :)

  • Answer:

Purchase a copy of Windows 7 Find a computer with a disk drive Insert the disk into the disk drive Open the disk - do NOT run it Copy thr files you see on the disk onto your flash drive (needs to be a 4GB flash drive) Go back to your own computer Insert the flash drive before turning on your computer Turn on your computer Windows 7 SetUp should start automatically If the "Press any key to boot from CD" dialog comes up, you do it only once. Your computer will restart 2-3 times during SetUp with the dialog appearing each time. You only "press any key" prior to SetUp starting - not subsequently
