ITunes question - Does the file need to be on my computer twice?
-
Hi, I use iTunes for my music and have a question about how it works I guess. Heres a mock situation: If somebody sends me a song over email and I download it to my documents, I can then import it to the iTunes library with iTunes. The song is then in my iTunes library. The song file is still in My Documents but also appears to have been copied to the iTunes music folder under My Documents/iTunes/iTunes music. But if I move the song from My Documents or delete it, iTunes says that it can't find the song so cant play it (even though it is in the iTunes music folder :S) So my question really is, do I have to have the song saved twice on my computer for it to work with iTunes? Thanks.
