How can I speed up a download?

How can I check the download speed of a hidden downloading file ?

  • Say my normal download speed is 60 kbps. But sometimes I saw that my download speed decrease to 30 kbps. I am quite sure that there is no other reason. I want to check that which website is responsible I mean silently using my bandwidth.How can I check the download speed of a hidden downloading file ? Is there any software or any system to check this ? Please............

    The service provider is the key here, off late there have been various changes in plans of existing customers and there are some hidden facts that the speed is upto 512kbps so you have to read between the lines. I presume you have a BSNL connection of 499 Unlimited download. The scheme has been altered, it is 512kbps for first 4GB and then it is 256kbps.

If you have Wifi and someone else in your family is using it, it won't tell you that.
