Playing PC games help?

Can someone please help me with playing burnt games on PC? PLEASE!?

• My mum's friend brough some burnt games over for me to install and play. However, my computer will read it, but all i can do is view the files on the disc. Is there a program i need so i can actually start the game up and play it? please help! thanks so much :)

  All you need is probably all on the disc already - it just doesn't have autoplay compatibility. What you're looking for on the cd is usually a file of the type ".exe" that will launch the software and its installation program. Most of the time, this file is either called "autorun.exe" or something like that OR the name of the game. For example, if the game was Battlefield 2, you would find Battlefield2.exe and double click that. Look around on the cd for a bit, it could be in a subfolder somewhere, but usually it's out of any specific folder.
