How do i burn movie to dvd without using any software?

I think you can't, you have to use the right software, if you just want to burn the movies to DVD disc as data disc, you can try RZ Free DVD Burner, it is freeware, can directly burn any files or folders to CD&DVD writeable disc as data disc, but if you want to burn the movies to DVD, and can play well on home DVD player, you should use the special software to create standard video DVD from the movies, I am using RZ DVD Creator, it can directly convert and burn any movies to standard video DVD(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), the burned video DVD can be played well on home DVD player, both easy to use, you can yahoo or google search and download them, work well, hope them can help you.

Nero 6 is software. Burning commercially released movies to disk is actually illegal (unauthorized copying) so is made as difficult as possible

it sounds like you are trying to copy a commercial dvd if this is the case there is encryption,bad sectors,false files ,etc. if you are doing this so you can make a backup of an original some contries do not allow this some do allow it. to copy dvds you do need a program with nero and it is a decryption program, there is a free one out on the internet it is called dvd43 i am sure you will be able to figure out how it works so you can make a backup of your original
