Control panel issue, sound will not enable or disable. even when i click enable.?

windows 7, realtek audio. for some reason. i can't enable or disable or turn on any effects, i tried reinstalling the audio driver, but it did the same thing, even made more issues cause of the fact that i still couldn't enable or disable anything that has to do wit hsound, my computer never can detect anything audio but the speakers, and camstuido can't record. the stereo mix won't enable even when i click on it. nothing changes. does anyone have a clue to why my audio system is jacked up?

Answer:
possible a deleted entry in the registry. if you have WIN AIK run it and it will try to fix it for you. or you can try restoring to a point where it was working and that might solve it for you as well.
