What's the best video editing software?

Whats the Best Video Editing Software for a beginner?

  • Hi, i am interested in becoming a Video Editor when i am older. I have a Hd camcorder and i would like to know what Video Editing Software would suit a beginner best. My price limit is $100 and I use Windows Vista

  • Answer:

Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 is $95 i used to use it and it pretty good. It doesn't have a lot of advanced features though. If you are taking video editing very seriously i would go with a program with masking, and rotoscoping features such as adobe after effects, final cut pro (mac only), or sony vegas pro. I personally think adobe after effects is the best and it's what i use. its pretty pricey though ($1000). You can get it for free too at piratebay.com and torrent it but that's illegal :O

Hey Double A, I would recommend trakAxPC Pro. It's aimed at the novice user but has all the features of a professional software. It's a really good and user-friendly video editing software which allows you to edit and mix any combination of audio, video and photos. It also has loads of features like effects, text, split screen, reverse, slow-motion etc, plus you can upload your video directly to YouTube through the application. There's a free lite version and a Pro (paid) version available You can check it out here: http://www.trakax.com/software/pc/ Hope this helps

You may try this Video Editor, it's a nice video editing software that can help you edit, join, split, trim, crop, convert and cut video, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well for me, it embeds many special effects. I had made a video with it and the video got award, that's pretty cool. Here is the free download link.

Windows Movie Maker is free. More advanced ones that cost more money: Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Sony Vegas. But those aren't in your price range and those are the only quality ones I know of :(
