Will Windows 7 fix my sound driver?

I messed up a while ago with my sound driver and I currently have no sound driver. I am currently running Vista Home Premium and am looking to download Windows 7 Home Premium. I have already tried to get a new sound driver but the company that made my driver no longer exists. If I download Windows 7 Home Premium, will my sound work again?

Windows 7 will do an automatic search for the driver online but in most cases with your situation where the company no-longer exists, it's unlikely W7 will find it, u can either buy another sound card or do a manual search on the internet by googling the name of the specific sound driver. Also u can resort to downloading a program called DriverMAGIC, it's free and automatically searches for all missing drivers on your computer and installs them.

it depends because sometimes win 7 cannot fin driver for laptops with old sound card but sometime its difficult to find on the net but u get true with the drivers sometime jus look for the compatibility.
