Why is there no music in the plug ins?

I downloaded AUDACITY, music editing program - plug-ins are not working though?

• my professor sent a link to download the program audacity but he also had xtra links to add plug ins, and mp3 encoders for the hell of it but the audacity worked fine but the other links when i downloaded it just gave me a box with CODES messed up letters in a blank box??? what happened there and did i need those xtra plug ins?? should i uninstall this? or what happened exactly. ty=]

  Talk to your teacher, and ask him to explain, and / or demonstrate, all of this stuff to you and your classmates, they likely got stuck, too. Audacity is an amazing program, and the Plug-ins only make it better. TIP: You're very fortunate to have a Professor who is willing to teach students ways to avoid "Pirating Commercial Apps". I hope he teaches Open Office, and The GIMP, too.
