How to delete old linux version when you have new version?

Need help with Linux version of N Game?

  • I downloaded the Linux version of N Game on a Windows computer, transferred it my Linux computer with a flash drive (I did this because I don't have Internet on my Linux) and I can't get it to work. What am I doing wrong?

  • Answer:

If you downloaded a package file you need to make sure it is the right package format for your distribution. Do a wikipedia search on your disto (for example the following is for Ubuntu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_(operating_system) ) and look what package manager it uses. In some cases you may need to look at the package manager to see what format your distro uses (for example dpkg uses .deb format files). If your using the right package type for your version of Linux, then your problem is most likely that you don't have the prerequisite packages to run the program. Lucky for you Linux will tell you what those packages are and you can download them to install first before installing NGame. You really should connect Linux up to the internet as you will get much more use out of the OS then you will ever get with it disconnected.
