What do you think of Google Chrome so far?

  • I know, that's an incredibly generic open-ended question, but I'm curious about general first impressions. At first I wasn't sure what to think, but now I really like it. But will it be good enough to make me leave Firefox? It's hard to say yet.

    I was at first unimpressed with it. I tried using it more later and it really is good. The speed of browsing is as fast as opera and uses less ram then opera. It seems like its more compatible with internet webware. Its super simplified which makes it intuitive but also bland. I'll continue using Chrome for its simplicity and Opera for its features. Later when Chrome gets more support then I'll completely switch.

I just downloaded chrome yesterday and so far i'm impressed. It obviously still has a few bugs(for some reason all my images look like crap), and doesn't improve my speed as much as I'd hoped (I'm on dial up), but I think when they work out the bugs it could be a great browser. Bottom line: I'm going to keep surfing on chrome, but keep my Firefox just in case.

This is the first time I've even heard of this.Maybe you need to spread the word.

It's alright, it's not settin' my world on fire. I don't like that it doesn't have a title or a status bar, but it does load very fast. They're big on pushing the whole, browser as desktop thing, or software-as-service I think is the buzzword, we'll see in the mid to long term how that works out.
