How to increase downloading speed in bit torrent...?

  • I'm using windows 7. i have installed bit torrent and I'm using it to download movies for more than 1 year. The downloading speed is low in bit torrent. I thought my internet speed plan is the problem but one of my friend using the same plan is getting more speed than me. now I have installed bit torrent 7.5(latest version). it is also downloading slowly. its is just downloading 1kbps\sec. when i start a download the speed increase to 60 to 70 kbps\sec. but after some time it is reduced to low speed. how to increase the speed in bittorrent. pls help.

    Hey shine ... First of all the speed of the torrent link depends upon the availability of Seeds & Leeches you probably know that so you have to find a healthy torrent in the first place , as for your problem try the following things : 1) Run a Speed test in your bit torrent client and see the bandwidth speed 2) See if your port is forwarded properly it is usually indicated at the mid bottom with an arrow checked in green 3) Also check whether your bandwidth limit and download & upload limit are set to Maximum 4) And of last if these doesn't work uninstall it and try using a "U torrent" its more faster and effective than bit torrent Good luck !!!

I suggest that you should try BitComet. I think it is the fastest torrent software. I use it to download torrent files and its speed is stable (depends on the Internet connection). It was around 100-120 kbps for EVDO Rev A. And when I purchase lower Internet speed, it was around 40-80 kbps. This software has its own community that will reward you whenever you use it to download torrent files. You can even purchase dedicated servers to increase your speed.

Perhaps your ISP is monitoring your illegal downloads with a view to withdrawing your Internet service. How do you think movie studios can get the money to make new movies if people are stealing existing movies from the Internet instead of buying them? download a torrent file with high seeds and peers... Go to options in the Menu Bar and choose preferences...click the Connection in the left side...You will see a random port number on the right side...you must choose a random port number in a way that after you click ok you must have a green tick sign at the right bottom which indicates Network OK.. hope it helps you...
