How do I turn on JavaScript support?

How do I turn JavaScript on on my laptop?

• I have a Linux laptop, and my YouTube has just stopped working, whenever I go to play a video, a message comes up saying 'hello, you have either turned JavaScript off or need to download the flash player to this video' People have told me that I need to go on the 'Tools' tab at the top of my screen and press 'options', but there isn't an options button, the only buttons there are 'web-search, downloads, add-ons, error console, page info and delete recent history' I know I don't need to download the latest flash player because it had already come installed when I got my laptop last week. Can you please tell me how to turn JavaScript on please. Thanks for your help.

  imho you are on your web browser you have to open you web browser and on the top of the file menu where you would go file save or save as on this tool bar is a tools options and in this is internet options which give you advanced options to untick or tick javascript but imho i think you will need flash player as this is what the pc is telling you as it maybe updated from when you get your pc as your pc was made so i would download the latest flash player and see if that fixes it if not then email me and i will have your answer thanks ian or you could go into control panel internet options and click advanced and you can change javascript in here thanks if you want me to send a video of exaclty how to do this then email thanks i will post on youtube see my you tube channel thanks ian
