When I try to update my Blackberry to OS 6, the Desktop Manager freezes. How come?

I plugged my Blackberry Bold 9700 into my MacBook Pro and it said there was update, so I followed the instructions on the screen and when it started to update it just froze and wouldn't continue. I have the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Manager, so I don't know what the problem is. One time it went all the way but then said my network connection isn't on, my network was turned off for some reason even though it was on before.

I would try uninstalling desktop manager, and then reinstalling from the blackberry website.
