Anyone know of some good Webcam programs?

So my boyfriend and I are going to be 7 hours apart in college, and i was wondering if anyone knew of some interesting webcam programs that would make skype even better. Like, the ability to watch movies together, or online games of some sort, or the best webcam effects software that you know of, or ecetera. Also, is there some kind of program that I can get that would allow him to see my screen while we are talking, or is that only built into certain computers/webcams. Thanks so much for your help!
