What is wrong with My iTunes?

What is wrong with my iTunes installation?

  • When I went to download iTunes 4.7 or something, it worked just fine, but my iPod needed 7.0 or higher. I went to install 7.0 but it only saved the file and when I went to click on setup nothing happened and my computer's speed went down about 200%. I deleted everything iTunes related on my computer, including the QuickTime that came with it, and started over (about three times, with 7.1, 7.1, and 7.6.2) and the same thing happened the first two times. With 7.6.2 (after deleting all iTunes related files on my computer) it says "iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" when I try to install it after downloading the program. I have Windows XP and plenty of memory and all the requirements. What on earth is the problem?

Try downloading it again from Apple.com It might be that it didn't download correctly so it can't be installed unless you download it again. Or it could be that your computer's Firewall is blocking the new iTunes from installing.
