Is there any way to resize an animated pic?

Easiest way to chop a pic item out in photoshop?

• using photoshop 7. i use some minor software to chop out anime characters for sigs and all that but i do it this way basically. open up a new document, transparent one...then just open a new document and open/get a pic. then i move it to the second blank document and use the eraser tool to cut it out and remove any backgrounds from the pic and when it looks clean enough i move it to the transparent document and then later move my chopped item to whatever new document i make later. a lot of work for something so simple i think. so whats a simple way to cut out say a fish from a picture so i can just put it aside and use it later for my sig or whatever...it takes me forever to use the eraser/cut something out and the lasso and all that gets kind of annoying. i tried the magic wand and that seemed easy enough...holding down shift and all that... anyway. any help much appreciated.

  Use the polygonal lasso. Should take no time that way. I am running CS3, and on my version its right underneath the marque tool. Make sure anti-alias is checked at the top of the screen. After you are done tracing around and see the "dancing ants" Open a brand new blank document. Then select the move tool and drag your cut image to the new blank document. Save the file as a PSD. This way if you ever need to use the image again, you won't have to cut it and you can drag and drop it anywhere when its saved as a PSD.
