Will putting a folder into the iTunes Library Folder add it to the Library instantly?

If I were to place a folder full of music files into the iTunes Library Folder in My Music, would it automatically appear in iTunes? Or would I have to go to iTunes and select "Add Folder to Library"?

No, it wouldn't. But you can just drag the folder onto iTunes and it will link all the files for you.
