How to Open Pdf file in Internet Explorer?

Web Designers!!!! Internet Explorer will not open my link to a pdf file.?

• I am working on updating some coupons on a website. I decided to create a link to a pdf file in which people can view the coupons. I used an anchor tag <a href="coupons.pdf"></a> to link to the pdf file. I opened it up perfectly in Firefox, which asks me if I want to open the file in my Mac's "preview". Safari opens the pdf inside it's own browser. But IE does not open the pdf at all unless you right click and say "open in new window". When you left-click, nothing happens at all... no blank windows, absolutely no reaction from IE. Why will IE not open the file on left-click? Please help!!!

  Use Automatic Updates to get a newer version of IE. Mine shows the option to open or save. Yours will too if it is modernized. EDIT: <embed src="http://www.domain.com/coupons.pdf #toolbar=0&navpanes=0&scrollbar=0%3F" height="1650" width="1275"> {{Had to use "domain" in place of blackcanyonautorepair" and added a space before # or Yahoo Answers would truncate it. Take out the space and replace domain with blackcanyonautorepair. You really should try an HTML forum instead where long pathways can be used. Let me suggest: Use an image editor (Photoshop, or Seashore in OS X, whatever in Windows) to crop the image. It is huge! Could reduce the empty space around the coupons a lot. For that matter, why not use individual PNG files or even one big one? No real need for PDF that I can see.... oh, wait. If you have some customers using ancient HP printers, maybe they can't easily print things that are not exactly U.S. Letter size.
