What is a good quality, easy, and free website builder to use?

  • I really want a good quality, simple to use, and FREE website builder. I've tried WebStarts, but the free package does not offer much, and I cannot pay. I've also tried ezweb123, but lately I've been having a problem with the pages being cut off--technical issues and I can't solve it. Any suggestions for good website builders? Preferably one where I can have plenty of pages, at least 6MB, easy to use, and possibly have a domain name WITHOUT the website builder name as an extension.

    If you have little technical ability or access to a web hosting service - try something like WIX. It's a free online flash website builder. http://www.wix.com/ If you have even basic web dev skill (can use an FTP program, etc.) and have access to a web server, I always suggest Wordpress. If you use a hosting company like Dreamhost (there are hundreds) - they have "one-click" installs for it. I can't comment on the web design software as I never use the software provided by hosts. I use Dreamweaver, which isn't free. However, what I can tell you is that if you want a domain name which isn't a sub-domain of your host, then you will need to pay. Domain names generally are not free.

Google Site - 100MB http://sites.google.com/ It's Free and easy to use. You just create a free email acount there to have a free site builder.
