How to sort a particular page in gridview?

What would be the best way to create this sort of web page?

  • I'd like to create a web page (or blog even) where I can offer many categories that will have topics that are added often. I'd like to be able to let people contact me with their own ideas, which I could add to their credit. I'd like it to be easily searchable and organized, with things easily being added each week. WHAT IS THE BEST SUGESSTION FOR MY NEEDS? I'd also like to allow advertisers to post their ads so I can get paid! I hate google adsense & commission junction. Once I could prove my page hit-worthy, how could I get decent advertisers to come in? AS IN: I don't want to get a fraction of a cent per click--I want advertisers who pay because their ad is on my page.

You need a blog solution with custom plugins. WordPress will work, and is a great blogging tool. The custom plugins will require you to hand code them, or you to pay someone else (they aren't cheap) to write them for your. Decent advertisers will come in when you have a popular website with CONTENT, the key to any good website.

Got a suggestion for the first question - what about wordpress? I've customized a blog for someone and it's easy to create the postings (your new info) and have comments. They also have a plug-in for spam, etc. I liked working with it alot. As for ads, etc - I hear you - but to get started it might not be so bad having adwords. I think if you get the site online and gathering interest, you'll be in a better position. Good luck!
