How can i erase a sony CD recordable disk,,,?

i have pictures on a couple of SONY-CD-R,,,SUPREMAS,,700mb disk,,i want to erase all the pictures on them,,,i have nero-7,,but when i try to go to the erase icon,,and click it ,,,the program wont erase these disk,,,it will erase on a sony cd-rewritable 700mb disk,,what can i do ,,pls help,,,thk you ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,mike

You cant erase CD-R's. Once written on they are final. However CD-RW's can be deleted and reused.
information stored in cd-r disks cant be erased because once a file is saved in a cd-r, the disk is locked. you can only edit the stored info if the disk is cd-rw
