Why do I download apps so slow?

Why won't jailbroken apps download or if they download, why don't they open?

• I am new to this, but I just jailbroke my ipod touch 2g, and I got Cydia on no prob, got Winterboard on and using, no prob, got Installous on there no prob, But when I try and download apps, they will download (after a LONG time) but when I install them and then try and open them on the springboard, they open for 2 secs then close. all my apps that I got from the "legit" app store are fine. Also 90% of the time, the apps won't even download, they start and download a little bit, then say that connection lost so it fails and closes on its own! what gives???? Is it cuz I am on 4.1 and its too knew of an OS to run smoothly yet? Do I need to download another app to help it...like AppSync (I don't know what AppSync does, but I seen that some people posted about it)? When it gives you the option to download and you choose from the 12 ones listed (ex: appscene, file dude, 4share, etc.) am I choosing the wrong one? Any help is greatly appreciated!!! :)

  You can also download them on your computer and SSH to: /var /mobile /documents /Installous /downloads / and install them in Installous. What AppSync does is allows you to sync those apptrackr apps with iTunes. That works both ways... syncing them on to your iPod and transferring them to your iTunes library. There's a settings tab in Installous and an option for "iTunes Sync" which, when on, lets you transfer apps with iTunes. And yea, some of the download links are much faster... try another, if possible, if it s really slow. Maybe the apps that just close out aren't playable on 4.1? ...a few of my cracked apps stopped working when I upgraded from 3.1.2 to 4.0.
