How to create a boot CD from an already burned one?

How to create a bootable ISO containing several Linux distros or Live OS?

  • I have previously been using BCDedit to add an entry in Windows boot manager for an ISO file located on the hd. That was all well and good, and it worked fine, but I would like to be able to have several live OS or Linux distros under one identifier on Windows boot manager, I considered installing them all and just having one option of GRUB2 on my boot manager, which they would all be located under, but I would rather not have loads of partitions on my hard drive, and I don't much want loads of entries on Windows boot manager when I boot up, as it looks messy. Any suggestions? My 2 ideas were to create a bootable ISO file with several Distros in, and the GRUB2 boot loader, then I would just put a link to this one ISO from my hard drive onto windows boot manager, which when selected would go onto the grub for that CD. I am open to suggestions, on how I can have multiple OS's without lots of partitions or boot loader entries?? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!

The easy answer is make up virtual boxes. Software such as VMWare and the like you can config as a bootable CD. I would opinion you are in for a major disappointment trying to GRUB2 and maintain the partitions. In fact, I can see having to keep an external, handwritten diary as one of the burdens of such a setup. Linux Magazine has many virtual CDs oftentime included, for free, with the various months issues. Virtualization is s-l-l-o-w-w, but it works, and leaves your precious virus-magnet, Windows, intact. Virtualization is the way to go when surfing the P2P and dark alleys of the internet.
