Need to find the host name of a web space to upload a website via FTP?

my teacher assigned us HW and wants us to upload a website via WYSIWYG editor and upload it through an FTP client. i need to find out the host name of this website so i can connect to the server and upload the site, but i cant find the ftp address the website is http://students.utpa.edu/(myusername) please help

Your teacher should give the FTP address to you. You can usually find out that piece of info in the web hosting control panel if you have one... but if you don't then perhaps can only guess: 1. Try students.utpa.edu 2. Try ftp.students.utpa.edu 3. Try 129.113.34.28

You can find this only through the hosts Control Panel, under FTP Address Good luck!
If you're able to login to that server through SSH, then it will be the same credentials. hostname should be students.utpa.edu username should just be whatever myusernameis password should be your password port will be 21 (ftp) and 22 (sftp)
